Move More!The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia is involved in many program and policy activities to help Nova Scotians be more active. Move more! is a referral support to Make a move! offering a fun, 8-week program where participants sample local physical activity opportunities and learn about healthy, active living. Move More is led by Recreation Nova Scotia with support from Nova Scotia Department of Health Promotion and Protection. It's a physical activity program designed by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. It is tailored to the beginner and those who haven't been active for some time. This program provides basic information on physical activity and guidance on how to start enjoying the benefits of an active lifestyle. Discover simple ways to build activity into your day, in your own way. Each week you will sample a variety of physical activities, from checking out a local walking trail to stretching in a beginner yoga class. It's a great introduction to a variety of activities in a no-pressure, supportive, and social atmosphere.
