David MacDonald

David was appointed to the Board of Directors in November 2008. As a Financial Consultant with Investors Group in Halifax, David brings expertise in the financial services industry – specifically the areas of investment, tax, and retirement planning. In this role, David received the prestigious Dave Salmon Award for the consultant who exhibits the most promise. David previously held the role of Executive Assistant to former Minister Peter Christie where he was involved in constituency and departmental affairs for the Finance, Municipal Relations, and Community Service Departments. In addition to his volunteer work with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, David’s other community pursuits include volunteer work with Rotary International, Cobequid Community Health Centre, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Halifax Club, and Nova Scotia Minor Hockey.
