As Vice President of Commercial Financial Services in Halifax, Heather Hogg is responsible for leading a team of commercial account managers who provide industry specific business and financial advice and solutions to business clients in Halifax Regional Municipality, the bank’s ninth largest market in Canada and its largest in Atlantic

 Since joining RBC in 2001, Heather has advanced through the organization in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility and scope, including roles in Human Resources, Risk Management, Sales and RBC Insurance. She has also worked both in RBC’s Atlantic Regional Headquarters and its National Office in Toronto. In addition, Heather has served on a number of national and regional RBC committees, including co-chair of the Atlantic Diversity Council and currently is the district champion for the Women’s Market Segment. 

Prior to her career in the financial services industry Heather worked in health care as genetic counsellor for hereditary adult onset conditions and as a pediatric nurse/researcher at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax. 

An avid community supporter, Heather is a board member with Cancer Care Nova Scotia and has served on the board of Triathlon Nova Scotia, and the loan board for Centre For Entrepreneurship Education & Development (CEED) Halifax. In addition she coaches running for cancer survivors.                            

Heather holds a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University and an EMBA from Saint Mary’s University.

She resides in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia.
