Lawrence A. Freeman, Q.C. is a senior partner of McInnes Cooper, with offices in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island. His practice concentrates in the area of corporate and commercial law representing small, medium and large corporations, as well as numerous financial institutions including banks, trust companies and life insurance companies. He has been involved with the acquisition financing and leasing of large real estate projects in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and the United States. He received his B.Comm degree from Dalhousie University in 1970 and his LL.B. degree in 1973. He was admitted to the Nova Scotia bar in 1973 and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2002. He is currently a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society. He is presently serving on Saint Mary’s University Board of Governors and Community Leadership Advisory Council to the Admiral. He is active in many community and charitable organizations, both locally and nationally.
